At all times Mr Sharma was courteous, reassuring, caring and professional. He gave me plenty of time and opportunity to ask questions about my condition, both at my pre and post operation appointments. I felt fully informed and in safe, capable hands every step of the way. My recovery has been excellent and I credit this to the care Mr Sharma took in performing my operation and to the team he worked with to ensure everything went smoothly and efficiently. In my opinion there was nothing that could be improved upon and I would highly recommend Mr Sharma to anyone seeking a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

I am writing this review as I feel it’s the least I can do. 3 years ago I was taken into hospital with the worst stomach pain I had ever experienced. Long story short I found out that I had a perforation due to diverticular disease which after many conversations about what was happening… I was basically told I would have to live with this condition for the rest of my life. The next few months were absolute hell and everything seemed to go to an 11/10 for pain and symptoms. Either I was constantly on and off the toilet or I was having repeat infections. Simply put my quality of life was awful and after living with this for almost 3 years and doing absolutely everything I could to combat it… I felt like I was beat and became desperate. I saw Mr Sharma’s information and decided to reach out for a consultation on the off chance there was something he might suggest. Within 5 minutes of meeting him he knew EXACTLY what was wrong with me. He sketched together a drawing so I can easily understand what was happening and why things were getting progressively worse (at this point I developed a fistula and I was having even more infections and trouble going to the toilet). He explained to me that although this was rare for my age it’s not something he can’t fix and give me a better quality of life. Now fast forward a few weeks and I had the surgery which was a high anterior resection along with bladder repair. There is so much I could and want to say about the whole team but I will end it with this… every single person I had an interaction with was professional, caring and patient. Simply put they have given me my life back and I can never repay Mr Sharma and his team for waking up healthy again and with a smile on my face! David W

Mr Sharma performed an appendectomy on me. All details were clearly explained to me prior as well as post operation. The care Mr Sharma displayed was first class. Allowing me to feel very comfortable throughout.

Mr Sharma changed my life and I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for him. In August 2020 I had emergency Subtotal colectomy (removed my colon) due to ulcerative colitis at Preston hospital with a different surgeon. I decided that I would go for reversal surgery which is two operations to have a j pouch created and then reconnected. I decided that I wanted to go private and Mr Sharma was the surgeon I trusted. So in June 2021 I went for it! From the first consultation, I instantly felt at ease, he is a lovely, warm and kind person. My first operation went very well. He came to see me daily and sometimes twice a day. The care that Spire Manchester provided was also fantastic. For the following month I did have a few complications. This was due to my small intestines that kept ‘kinking’. This was nothing to do with Sharma’s work but my bodies reaction to surgery with a new stoma. Mr Sharma reacted efficiently when I came back to Hopsital and admitted me back to the ward. He came to see me daily, again, sometimes twice and even on his days off. He decided that it was best to bring my reconnection surgery forward and that’s what we did. I am now over 1 year into being reconnected to my j pouch, and all I can say is that he has changed my life. I often hear of people having various troubles with J Pouches, but Mr Sharma uses certain techniques that he has learnt from working in different areas of the world which has means that my j pouch is up there with the very best. I go to the toilet 5 times in 24 hours and I don’t have any urgency at all. Mr Sharma is the most highly skilled medic I have ever met. And to top it off, the kindest and most gentle too. I would trust him with my life and I am eternally grateful for him. Thanks Mr Sharma, C x
